In 1995 when we bought our first PWC’s and went through your training program. We all felt confident that we could safely use these watercraft to train our rescue swimmers and be safety guard for the helicopter crews during the training evolutions. I remember a visiting admiral at Cape Disappointment sitting on the mess deck and watching our crew drive by with our two PWC’s and he asked the crew, who we were and what the hell were we doing going out there on such a bad weather day. The CO’s response was we were a bunch of airdales from Mobile, Al. running the Advance Rescue Swimmer School. The admiral didn’t believe we were qualified to be working in such bad bar conditions and he tried to stop our program without knowing we were trained by the best K38 PWC instructors in the USA.
